Morocco Itinerary

Day 1 – Marrakech/Darnanka

We are staying in a small hotel owned by a Belgian couple for the first 3 nights which is 15km south of Marrakech city. Arrive in time for dinner.  Dar Nanka Maison d’Hötes, Domaine Fréha km 13, Rte Ourika, 40000 MARRAKECH – MAROC. Tél : +212 661 918 052

Day 2 – Marrakech/Darnanka
On our second day, we are hiring a taxi for 12 hours so we can visit the Majorelle Gardens, do some shopping in the city and return at night for dinner booked here : La Maison Arabe

Day 3 – Marrakech/Darnanka

Day 4 – Private Tour of Sahara with Wild Morocco
Drive from Marrakech to Ait Ben Haddou, 30km before Ouarzazate. Traverse the High Atlas mountains via the highest main road pass in Morocco, at 2260m altitude. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou. Overnight near Ait Ben Haddou at a guest-house inside a restored kasbah – Kasbah Ellouze.

Day 5 – Desert Camp
Drive from Ait Ben Haddou to desert camp at the Erg Chigaga dunes via Foum Zguid, arriving in the afternoon.

Day 6 – Desert Camp
A day at leisure in the Sahara. Camel trek, sandboard, and relax. Picnic lunch at a nearby oasis.

Day 7 – Atlas Valley
After lunch transfer out of the desert to Agdz. We exit the desert a different way, re-joining the sealed road at M’hamid, continuing northwards beyond Zagora & along the Draa Valley.  Overnight in a kasbah guest-house at the palm grove of Agdz – and Kasbah Hazul.

Day 8 – Marrakech/Riad Le Clos Des Arts
Drive Agdz to Marrakech, crossing the Anti-Atlas mountains, before Ouarzazate, and then once more joining the route across the High Atlas mountain range as per start of trip. Arriving Marrakech early evening. Stay 2 nights in a traditional riad and do some more exploring of the city.

Day 9 – – Marrakech/Riad Le Clos Des Arts
Hamman treatment at Medina Spa on our last day.

Dinner at La Sultana

Day 10 – Time to go home
Late afternoon flight home
